My name is Nur Afni Metimudah and I am 36 years old. I am currently the oldest artisan at Tapai. I live in Wakaf Tapai with my older sister, and her three kids. I have two brothers and four sisters. My older brother is also disabled. Our parents have passed away, so we are on our own now.

I have been working at Tapai since the enterprise started in 2016. Tapai has provided me with income and opportunities to learn and develop my skills. I still don’t know how to sew but I would help out on different components of bag-making such as cutting fabric and ironing. Cikgu Azie teaches me how to stitch but I still find it quite difficult. I love Tapai for the trust and opportunity they give me to improve myself. People here are very nice and respectful. When I am not at Tapai, I usually stay at home and cook or watch Malay movies.
